'Sa re ga ma pa' which was a hugely successful reality show in Hindi by the Zee Group and had has created a stimulation in the entire music world, this gave birth to the idea of creating something similar for Zee Kannad and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was born for the Kannada audience. Zee Kannada's program was instrumental in introducing some of the best singers in Kannada. This time around Maverick gave a new twist to the already popular programe 'Sa re ga ma pa' and exclusively created a show for musically inclined married women in the age group of 18 to 35 yrs. The program was designed to bring out the best musical talent amongst the "Grihinis" of Karnataka. This was the first of its kind.
